MyCache Privacy Notice
Effective Date: October 10, 2026 ยท Version: 2026.10.10.01
This Privacy Notice describes how Arc3 Ventures, LLC ("Arc3 Ventures," "we," "us," and "our") collects, uses, discloses and retains information about you and your family. It applies to the MyCache mobile application, to the website at mycache.money, and to the services provided through them (collectively, the "Service").
Key terms. "You" refers to the parent or legal guardian who creates a household on the Service and is responsible for it. "Your family" refers to the members of that household, including each child for whom you create an account. Within the Service, a child's account is designated an "investor" account. "Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with an identifiable individual.
Nature of the Service
The Service does not hold, transfer, invest, take custody of, or insure funds. It is not connected to any bank, card network, payment processor or other financial institution, and no funds are transmitted through it.
A balance recorded in the Service is a record of an arrangement between you and a member of your family. Interest is calculated by applying a rate that you select to figures that you enter. A transaction recorded as a "withdrawal" denotes that funds were provided outside the Service and recorded within it.
The Service is not a bank account, a savings account, a deposit product, an investment product, or any other regulated financial product, and it is not insured by any party.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information.
Information about a parent or guardian
- Name. Displayed to the members of your household.
- Email address. Used as your sign-in identifier and to deliver password resets, address confirmations and invitations.
- Password. Stored only as a bcrypt hash. We cannot read or recover it.
- Household name. As selected by you.
- Profile image. Optional. Either an illustration selected from those provided or an image uploaded by your household.
- Display preferences. Such as an accent color and a light or dark theme.
Information about a child
- Name. Required. Displayed to the members of that child's household.
- Date of birth. Optional, and limited to month and day only. No year of birth is collected or stored, and the Service provides no means of recording one. The month and day are used solely to date a birthday greeting.
- Email address. Not required. Collected only if you elect to provide the child with independent sign-in credentials.
- Password. Not required. Collected only in the circumstance described above.
- Profile image. Optional, as described above.
- Savings records. Required. Balances, deposits, withdrawals, interest, savings goals and withdrawal requests entered by your household.
A child is not required to provide an email address in order to use the Service. In the default method of enrollment, a parent creates the account and provides the child with an eight-character sign-in code. An account created in this manner has no associated email address and no password, with the result that neither we nor any other party is able to contact that child through the Service.
Because no year of birth is collected, the Service cannot determine the age of any user. Determining whether a person is of suitable age to use the Service is the responsibility of the parent or guardian who creates the account.
Information about devices
- Device sessions. Where a child signs in using a sign-in code, we record the device name and platform reported by that device, so that a parent may review the devices in use and revoke access to any of them.
- Push notification tokens. Collected where notifications are enabled. A token identifies a device rather than an individual, and is transmitted to Apple solely to deliver the notification for which it was issued.
- IP address. Observed when you connect to the Service and used solely to apply rate limits to sign-in and password-reset attempts. It is not retained as a record of any individual.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect geolocation data, contact lists, advertising identifiers, usage or behavioral analytics, crash reports, browsing history, biometric identifiers, or payment card details.
The Service contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, session-replay or crash-reporting components of any kind. This is a property of the application as built rather than a policy commitment alone, and it is declared in the application's privacy report on the App Store.
How We Use Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To provide the Service, including creating and maintaining accounts and households, recording and displaying savings records, calculating interest from the rate you select, and recording savings goals and withdrawal requests.
- To authenticate users, including issuing and validating sessions, sign-in codes and credentials.
- To communicate with you, including password resets, email address confirmations, invitations, and responses to requests you submit to us.
- To deliver notifications of events within your household, where you have enabled them.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Service, including applying rate limits to sign-in and password-reset attempts and investigating suspected misuse.
- To comply with applicable law, including responding to lawful requests.
We do not use personal information for advertising, for profiling, or to train any machine learning or artificial intelligence system.
What a Child Can and Cannot Do Within the Service
A child may view their own account and transaction history; create, modify and delete their own savings goals; submit and cancel withdrawal requests; change their own profile image and display preferences; and delete their own account.
A child may not record transactions; approve any request, including their own; view the balance, goals or history of any other member; create a household; invite any person; alter any person's role; or send messages.
The Service provides no means by which a child may communicate with any person outside their own household. A withdrawal request may carry a stated reason and a parent's response may carry a note; both remain within the household.
How We Share Information
We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients, each for a single purpose:
- Amazon Web Services. Hosts the Service and stores its data, within the United States. Information is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Resend. Delivers transactional email on our behalf. Receives the recipient's email address and the contents of the message.
- Apple Inc. Delivers push notifications. Receives a device token and the contents of the notification. Separately, Apple distributes the application and processes purchases; we do not receive your payment card details.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for advertising purposes. No advertising network, data broker, analytics provider or similar party receives personal information from us.
We may disclose personal information where required by applicable law, court order or governmental regulation, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Consent
A parent or guardian consents to this Privacy Notice and to the Terms of Use on behalf of their household and on behalf of each child whose account they create. We record the version of each document presented, the date of acceptance, and the member to whom the consent relates.
A child is not presented with a consent screen, as a child is not the party giving consent.
Where this Privacy Notice is amended in a manner that materially affects the processing of personal information, we will seek consent to the amended version rather than rely upon consent given to a prior version.
Children's Privacy
We treat every investor account as though it belongs to a child under the age of 13, and the Service is designed so that this treatment imposes no limitation on its function. Because the Service cannot determine the age of any user, the standard established by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") is applied to all such accounts.
Parental consent. A child cannot create an account on the Service. No public registration is available to a child, and an investor account can be created only from within an existing household by a parent who is signed in and whose email address has been confirmed. That parent consents to this Privacy Notice and to the Terms of Use on the child's behalf, and the version presented, the date and the member concerned are recorded.
Limitation on collection. The default method of enrollment collects a child's name and nothing further. We do not condition a child's participation in the Service on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate. A profile image, a display preference and a birthday are each optional, and declining all of them does not limit the Service's function for that child.
No contact and no third-party disclosure. By default a child has no email address and no password, and accordingly neither we nor any other party can contact that child through the Service. The Service provides no messaging, no public profile, no user-to-user content and no means by which information entered by a child may leave their household. We disclose no personal information of a child other than to the service providers identified above, and we do not use it for advertising, profiling or the training of any machine learning system.
Parental rights. A parent or guardian may review all personal information collected about their child, which is displayed in full within the Service; correct it from the member's page; delete it by deleting the child's account; and refuse any further collection by the same means. No request to us is required to exercise these rights. A parent may also contact us at the address below, and we will respond within 30 days.
Retention. We retain a child's personal information only for so long as the account exists, subject to the exception stated under Retention and Deletion below, which concerns the savings records of a deleted account.
Retention and Deletion
Any person who can sign in to the Service may delete their own account from within it, including a child.
- The savings records associated with a child's account are retained following deletion of that account, as an unattributed record belonging to the household, on the basis that those records constitute the parent's account of funds actually provided. A parent may thereafter assign those records to another member or delete them permanently. Permanent deletion of those records is irreversible.
- Where the owner of a household is its only parent or guardian, deletion of that account deletes the entire household, including every member and all associated records, as no person would remain who is able to administer it.
Uploaded images are deleted together with the member to whom they relate.
Server logs are retained for two weeks. Logging is configured so that personal information is not written to them: diagnostic detail originating from the database and from our email provider has identifying values removed before any record is written.
Deletion is permanent. We are unable to restore a deleted record.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction. All information held about your household is displayed within the Service and may be corrected there.
- Deletion. Your account, and where applicable your household, may be deleted from within the Service.
- Notifications. Push notifications may be disabled in your device settings. The Service requests permission on one occasion only, and never on first launch.
- Requests to us. You may contact us at
hello@arc3ventures.comfor a copy of the information we hold, for its deletion, or with any other request under this Notice. We will respond within 30 days and may first ask you to verify your identity, which for a parent means corresponding from the email address associated with the account.
California residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act affords you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to obtain a copy of it, to request its correction, to request its deletion, and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights. The section Information We Collect above constitutes the required disclosure of the categories collected.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by that Act, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. Accordingly no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism is provided, as there is no such activity from which to opt out.
We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined by that Act, and we do not use personal information to draw inferences about any individual.
Residents of other states
Comparable rights are afforded by the privacy statutes of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and other states. The rights described above, and the means of exercising them, are the same for residents of those states.
The Washington My Health My Data Act does not apply to the Service, as no consumer health data is collected.
Persons outside the United States
The Service is presently offered on the United States App Store only, and all information collected is stored within the United States. Should the Service be offered in other jurisdictions, this Notice will be amended beforehand to include the disclosures required in those jurisdictions.
Changes to This Privacy Notice
Each version of this Notice is identified by the version string shown above and remains available following any amendment, so that a consent recorded against an earlier version can be read in the form in which it was given.
